Handbuilding Pottery Workshop - Monday 19-21

Reconnect with your creativity through the art of handbuilding.

In this intimate workshop held in my Oltrarno studio, we'll explore the limitless possibilities of hand-shaping clay. Using the fundamental techniques of coiling, pinching, slab-building, wheelthrowing and kurinuki you will learn how to transform a simple lump of earth into a unique, functional, or sculptural object.

This course is a tactile journey, perfect for those who want to slow down and understand the organic nature of ceramics. No previous experience is required—I will guide you through every step, from the first touch to the final refined form.

What you will experience:

Tactile Learning: Master the art of shaping clay with just your hands and simple tools.

Creativity: Create something that is truly yours, focusing on texture, slow movement, and personal expression.

The Artisan District: Immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of Via Romana, the heart of Florentine craftsmanship.

Workshop Details:

Duration: 5 classes of 2 hours each

Included: All materials, professional firing, and glazing of your piece.

Location: My atelier in Via Romana 118 red, Florence.

Languages: Taught in English and Italian.

Your Finished Piece: After the workshop, your piece will be dried, fired twice, and glazed. It will be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks.
