Speckled Grey Pitcher – Slab Built with Porcelain Inlay
A bold, contemporary statement for the modern table. This pitcher is meticulously handcrafted using the slab-building technique, resulting in a crisp, architectural silhouette that celebrates form and structure. Made from Speckled Grey Stoneware, its surface is punctuated by natural mineral iron spots that evoke a sense of raw, stone-like permanence.
The body is adorned with hand-carved Porcelain Inlays—fine vertical white lines that emphasize the pitcher's height and elegant geometry. This rhythmic pattern is a testament to the slow, precise handwork carried out in my Florence studio.
The interior and the pouring lip are dipped in a white glaze. This glossy glaze offers a warm, smooth contrast to the cool, unglazed exterior, ensuring a functional and tactile pouring experience.
Whether used to serve water and wine or as a sculptural vase for dry branches, this pitcher is a testament to the beauty of slow-made, functional art.
